Gumstix-Related Licenses

Hint

The Gumstix DuoVero boards used in the Quanser QBall 2 and QBot 2 products employ a version of the Linux operating system based on the Yocto Project. The source for the Yocto Project is freely available online, including all the tools required to build a Linux kernel. Quanser has made minor patches to the Yocto Project (implemented in separate layers) which will be supplied upon request. The Yocto Project is broadly covered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) license, which is included for convenience below.

The MIT license is compatible with the GNU Lesser General Public License. For a full list of all the licenses on every component within the system, refer to the %QUARC_DIR%licenses\duovero folder. Note that this license does not apply to QUARC itself.
