Upgrading QUARC

This section is intended for users upgrading to a newer version of QUARC. When upgrading to a newer version of QUARC, links to certain blocks in the QUARC Targets Library may occasionally get broken due to reorganization of the QUARC Targets Library. That is why your models which were compatible with an earlier version of QUARC, might display bad links in the newer version. An example of a model that displays a bad link when upgrading to a newer version of QUARC is illustrated below.

There is a menu item in the QUARC menu called Upgrade blocks which repairs all the broken links in a model while preserving the block parameters. You should always use this menu item when upgrading to a newer version of QUARC to avoid any broken or bad links in your models. For more information on this menu item, please refer to the Upgrade blocks menu item description. For general information on the QUARC menu, you can refer to the QUARC Menu reference page.

You can also use a QUARC MATLAB function called qc_upgrade_blocks to perform the same operation. For a detailed description of this function, please refer to the qc_upgrade_blocks function's reference page.
