Quanser's Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) C API provides a full suite of functions for using data acquisition cards, including Quanser's own Q8-series and Q3-ControlPaq-FW cards, but also those of other manufacturers, such as National Instruments.

This section describes to set up a C/C++ application to use the HIL C API as well as some of the basic concepts in the API. More details are provided in the Function Reference pages.
