The Hardware VIs and Functions provide a card-independent framework for accessing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or data acquisition cards. These VIs and Functions support HIL cards from multiple vendors, including National Instruments and Quanser. The same VIs may also be used on all targets supported by the Quanser RCP Toolkit.

There are two groups of VIs and functions. The General VIs and Functions can be used in any VIs. The Control Loop VIs and Functions can only be used in VIs that uses the Control Design and Simulation Module.
