RCP CL Stall Monitor Example

This example demonstrates how to use the RCP CL Stall Monitor VI. For a detailed description of this VI and how it operates, please refer to the RCP Stall Monitor help page.

System Requirements

Please refer to the Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) Toolkit System Requirements to run this example. This example does not require any other hardware.

Configuring the Example

There is no configuration required to run this VI on a Windows PC. Once the RCP CL Smooth Signal Generator Example.lvproj is open, click the RCP CL Smooth Signal Generator Example.vi under My Computer and you are ready to execute the example.

Running the Example

Click on the VI Run button or select Run from the Operator menu to start the VI.

The Motor Velocity (rad/s) chart shows the reference signal and the simulated output of a DC motor. After time passes Time to Stall (s), the input signal to the DC motor is set to 0 to create a "Stall" condition. If the motor "stalls" longer than the Duration (s) value, the stalled for duration LED will be on, an error will be generated, and the example will be stopped.

Click on the Front Panel Stop button to stop the VI.
